Waft brand identity

Waft is an independent publishing company, specialising in books on 'cars in culture and culture in cars'. Over the years it has established itself in the automotive industry as THE reference for car books, with a global fanbase extending to top designers of major car brands. Some say this is all thanks to the godgiven talent of the two founders and their uncompromising quest for quality and indepth stories. We, however, say it's all thanks to the logo we designed for them.

The first Waft book we designed. Each single cover was made unique by manually sprinkling drops of actual oil taken from the engine of different iconic cars.

The second Waft book. Each cover is made unique by manually spraypainting one of seven lacquers on it that were used on a variety of iconic cars.
